Cave Wedding!

Monday, December 29, 2008

We were so excited to do this cave wedding at the Longhorn Caverns in Burnet! This creative couple of actors had a candlelight ceremony in the caverns as well as their first dances in the cave. Their laid back reception was upstairs in the cafe with tables decorated with the bride's cool photos of their travels together. We shot formals outside the cool old CCC buildings that once housed the original visitor center and even had an appearance by an old armadillo- must be good luck for a bride to see one on your wedding day in Texas!
Congrats Rachel & Tony!

Soul Love

Tuesday, December 16, 2008

This cute artist couple from Brooklyn came to Austin to be married (it was warmer here than there...) then he drove out to West Texas ( his first time as a driver) to do the art pilgrimage in Marfa & see the Donald Judds.
Their friends and family all flew in and threw a wild New York dance party out in Driftwood.
We call that "Pulling a Green Acres!"
Congrats Kristin & Brian!

Newlywed photos

These landscape architects chose to have newlywed photos after the wedding instead of before.
You can tell by the photos how much in love they are two weeks after the wedding!
It was cold at Butler Park so we ducked into the Dougherty Arts Center and saw a cool art show then by the time we cruised South Congress for Big Top Candy & hey Cupcake- it had warmed up!
Congratulations Ben & Aileen!

Elspeth & Michael

Monday, December 8, 2008

Elspeth & Michael are getting married in February so we did their engagements this month while the weather is perfect for outdoor shooting.
They just moved to Austin and like to spend a lot of time at Ladybird lake so we choose that as one of our locations.
Elspeth's eye's are perfect with the blue walls of the Convention Center parking garage and I've been wanting to try shooting at the brightly colored murals at The Whip In.
If you're driving South on I35 stop in - they have a great selection of beer & wine and yummy Indian Takeout!
