Keeping it Local & Green in Buda

Friday, October 24, 2008

This couple had an amazing fall wedding at the San Michele in Buda. It's nice shooting local since it's just down the road from us in downtown Buda . The groom got ready at the Hampton Inn off I 35 and Main Street and the bride & bridesmaids had their hair & makeup done at the Sapphire Salon on 967.

Virginia at the San Michele likes to keep it GREEN by using glass. She has a huge set of cool green and blue glassware, plates and silverware available for rent for all her weddings, she also serves lemonade, tea, coffee and water in glass cisterns.
Cheers to Virginia for reducing waste and setting such a beautiful table!

The weather ended up being beautiful with incredible light for their ceremony and reception with crazy dancing into the night.

Congratulations Nancy & Raul!

And mucho gracias to my husband Jeff for being the best partner and second shooter!

Yoga wedding day!

What a great way to start your wedding day by having your own yoga class. The Bride's sister had her friend come teach a yoga class to all her bridesmaids and family. They were going to have it out on the lawn at the San Michele, but when it started to sprinkle Virginia was nice enough to clear the floor for them to have it indoors.
Namaste on your wedding day!

Fischer Texas

the unofficial mayor of Fischer- you'll find him outside guarding the bowling club!

This cute couple met at the John Knox summer camp between Wimberly and Fischer Texas. They were working as counselors in the cafeteria and accidently got locked in one day, the rumour was that they went in there to make out- but this time they really did - but outside the cafeteria.
If you've never been to Fischer- take a trip out on a Saturday afternoon and go bowling, the dance hall was built at the turn of the century and there's a 9 pin bowling club next door. (Lauren's Mom worked there as a girl setting up pins!)
Save the Date for their June wedding at the Winfield Inn!

This cute couple from Round Rock are both landscape architects and have the same last initial -D, they had cupcakes decorated with a D for the grooms cake and a beautiful fall decorated cake with berries by Robin Byrd.
The Salt Lick Pavillion is the perfect location for a fall wedding, there's no water in Onion Creek because of the drought, but the grass is green, the live oaks are shady, and the sunset is spectacular!
