Christy & Jeff chose awesome vendors for  spring wedding at the Barr Mansion. So one of her first priorities after the wedding was to get out photos and add reviews for all her vendors!

Their Invitations were done by Pink Tulip, who custom designed the invitations as well as a packet for all their guests including inserts about their western themed rehearsal dinner, welcome bags with a custom map of Austin. They also did  the table cards that were from all their favorite Austin locations as well as their  travels together.

Christy did a trial run with Lecia from Beauty on the Go and immediately fell in love with her!  She said " She makes you feel so beautiful, is so kind, so incredibly fun, and yet still so comforting and responsible. What’s more, she does cutting edge air brush makeup, she is 100% up on the latest and greatest makeup technology and products, and she does an incredibly job with makeup and hair".
She was also incredibly happy with Abby's work from Stems Floral- Christy said " She was incredibly responsive, flexible, and hands-off. Her work speaks for itself – you tell her what you want, and that’s all you have to do. She’ll take care of everything else, you never have to get involved, and everything will be perfect and ready for your big day. She’s fun, incredibly personable, a great listener, wonderfully creative, and exception at bringing a vision to life.
But their most important vendor was Barr Mansion, since they had  booked their wedding  4 weeks before the tragic fire last June they weren't sure if the new ballroom would be finished but Rick and all their staff kept them up to date with everything. The new Artisan ballroom was finished in time for their wedding and they felt that the new building was better in so many ways than the original.  Christy said " First, rather than having windows that are cut in half by wooden beams, the front of the venue is just a wall of glass, creating an even better illusion that the outdoors is actually inside. The floor is this laminated earthy green with actual leaf imprints on it, evoking a true mossy, forest floor. The rock fountain was preserved, but now has additional space behind it and even more windows to create a believable, interior greenhouse effect. Additionally, the bathrooms have been recreated surrounded by the same rock garden, the music stage is larger (which even better accommodated our 9-piece band), and now there’s a fire brick, pizza oven to boot."
She also said her  younger cousin proposed to his girlfriend on the night of their wedding , which makes Barr Mansion  forever a special place for their whole family.
Cheers to Christy & Jeff, Graduate school and great Austin Vendors!
