Luckily Ireland's Bishops officially made March 15th St. Patrick's Day for this cute couples wedding! ( better thing to remember than the Ides of March).
The wedding was at the Red Corral Ranch, a beautiful Hill Country location between Wimberley and Blanco. Not only is the ranch a great place to be married and have your reception all in one place, but it's also a preserve.
The ranch is a model for “PlanIt Texas" a group that works with the legislation and ranchers to help make it easier to preserve the land for endangered species and working ranches at the same time!
They also have lots of peacocks, the white ones were truly amazing, especially with the brides dress!
The ceremony took place at the main house then the wedding party took a hay ride to the reception in the big red barn.
There were wildflowers on the tables and cake, catering by the Salt Lick and dancing with a dj late into the night.
Cheers & Luck of the Irish to Shannon & Russell!

Luzita & Jamie
Thursday, March 20, 2008
On a beautiful blustery March day, Luzita & Jamie were married at the Chapel Dulcinea!
With daylight savings time there was lots of daylight for shooting. The bride and groom gave away mexican wedding cookies as favors and were serenaded by the most incredible Mariachi band! (they also had traditional squeezebox Conjonto music for dancing).
The owner of Chapel Dulcinea is renovating this turquoise Chevy truck, a perfect backdrop for photos.
Felicitaciones! Buena suerte! Que todo salga bien!

Mat on a Bertoia at the Museum of Modern Art Sculpture Garden!
I've been obsessed with modern chairs since my Mom photographed my childhood in a turquoise butterfly chair, and since design within reach isn't really within my reach I keep an eye out for them.
J found 4 Bertoia chairs in the trash at the MOMA when he moved art for a living in NYC, a Russell Spanner chair at a Goodwill in Dallas and 6 bentwood dining chairs from the Broncho Bowl in Dallas.
I found the Eames bucket outside a gas station in Manchaca (I think it was dumped from the old Adams Extract Building off South I 35) and a Knoll office chair at the Girl Scout Camp covered with white moldy vinyl.
Thanks to Garcia & Sons upholstery shop in San Marcos for giving these chairs a new life!
