Matt the Electrician

It's nice to be able to shoot an musician now and then.....they like usually artistic photos -so anything goes.
I photographed Matt the Electrician around the block in downtown Buda.

My family thought I was scary asking Matt to get into a pool of water to be photographed so we all did it first before they came over.
Let me say it was freezing and Matt was a sport for doing it. I think they have a spiritual look, like he's being baptized!

(Matilda and the girls got into the beard thing and added a mud one!)

Thanks Matt for braving the pool -and look for his new DVD tk soon.
GO and see him at Flipnotics and Saxon Pub! he also plays with the "Popstars"

Anniversary/Wedding at Villa Antonia

We shot this beautiful wedding at Villa Antonia on our Anniversary this year.
(thanks for reminding us Brenda - we've been together been married 17 years!)

The flowers were beautiful but her Mother did an incredible job with the place settings, candles and vases.

Instead of a grooms cake they decided to go with fresh Gelato and of course a vintage limo exit.

See their SLIDESHOW here! Congrats Alica and Seth!

Vintage Newlyweds/Vintage Glam Weddings

We loved photographing Kristin and Jared wedding, so we were super excited to shoot them again as newlyweds in a day after session.
Day after sessions are great, because you have more time to shoot -more light and freedom to relax about not getting your dress dirty.

Kristin loves everything vintage so she wore her Grandmothers wedding suit and her Mom's vintage shoes- a perfect match.

I love shooting with old camera's but it's a bummer that Poloroid has stopped making film, but this ingenius inventor has made a digital version called POLADROID!
It's fun and addicting so download -contribute- then post your own to the flickr group!

So flattered- we're featured on Vintage Glam Weddings today!

Naomi & Ian/The Old School-Featured on Rock n Roll Bride

Naomi and Ian were married at The Old School on East 11th street, it's a historical home owned by the documentary photographer Alan Pogue and his wife. It's an incredible house with a porch and tall ceilings and filled with Alan's powerfully beautiful black and white photographs.
The groom and his friends set up the stage for the ceremony then got ready at Verde Camp.
Though it was a stormy day, the rain stopped in time for the ceremony and held off for a beautiful outdoor dinner and dancing to Ian and his friends music.
They had the help of a lot of special friends who did amazing flowers with succulents and a gorgeous cake with vintage bride and groom.
The event was catered with yummy food by Di Lux.
Congrats Naomi & Ian!

Courtney & Evan's Wedding-Christ the King and The Tower Club

Though it was during the same storm that blew the Cowboys practice dome down their wedding was just as romantic and beautiful as their rehearsal dinner! (( the groom's golf game got rained out and they all came back soaked).

Christ the King is an amazing architectural building- from the fresco paintings, carved mahogany statues to the modern hanging lamps, each detail was stunning-especially the bridal room!

Everyone got ready at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Dallas then they had buses transfer all their guest to the church and the reception at the The Tower Club!

The bride and groom own Isis Boutique in San Diego so she had a 2 lovely dresses- including a cathedral length veil! (she changed into a cute short sleeveless wedding dress at her reception).

The grooms caked was lovingly dedicated to their dog- who couldn't make the wedding and their favors were a donation to the Humane Society of Dallas.
Their exited to bubbles and vintage limo drive then off to a two week Italian honeymoon!
Congratulations Courntey & Evan!
