first look- more time for photos!
Katie loves Kevin- but she also loves crafting- here are all the amazing details she MADE for her wedding! The hanging paper flowers are hand dyed with coffee filters. A Graphic designer by day- she and Kevin met in photography school in Rochester then moved to Texas- she did all the graphics on her invitations, save the dates, bridesmaid guide and rehearsal dinner invitations.
They included a CD gift with all her escort cards for guests to find their tables- a mix of love songs her and Kevin had DJRJ play at the wedding. She handmade the table settings including tin can candle holders and framed menus- there were lots of things to do- lawn games of bocce and washers plus dinner, dancing and bubbles. The cake bar contained a mix of cupcakes and cookies the guests could bag and take with them- and each guest got a birdseed gift and a bag block printed with LOVE! filled with bird seed to throw at their exit!
They are members of the Wildflower UU and Eliza Galaher performed the ceremony that included traditions -like the binding of hands and jumping of the broom. Katie's brother Kevin gave her away but 2 seats were reserved for both of their parents who both recently passed away.
She also packed a time capsule with a bottle of wine that will age well and a note to Kevin on why she fell in love with him- a perfect way to celebrate their 50th anniversary!
Cheers to Katie & Kevin!
