This cute couple really know how to throw a party! They were married at St Austin's Catholic Parish on the Drag, then had their wedding party out at the San Michele in Buda. It was a beautiful spring day for dancing with funky DJ Barrington Miles, FUN lawn games like Bocce Ball, Croquet and Badminton and incredibly delicious food by Brenton Schumacher of Pink Avocado.
The couple took Tango lessons for their first dance from Monica Caivano. And Wild Poppy had gorgeous bouquets and magical hanging flowers!

Chuys Girl!
Friday, April 11, 2008

This Chuys girl grew up in Austin and was raised on Chuys, so it was an important place to start off our shoot! Plus they've been taking couples photos in the photobooth for years!
The red doors at St Ed's is also a perfect backdrop since she did her undergraduate degree there.

First babies
Tuesday, April 1, 2008

I recently photographed this beautiful Mom and am so lucky to have also photographed their beautiful baby girl. (a Bump & Baby Special).
It's such a joy to have these "Everyday Blessings" ( a great parenting book by the way). Your first few weeks are like a dream, the beginning of a life long love affair!
But we know that before we had children, our dog was our baby. We took her everywhere with us, even on vacations.
By the time Thea was born we slipped up by telling our friends that we were taking HER to the vet!
This cute couple works with Blue Dog Rescue in Austin fostering homeless dogs, helping to train and socialize them a little to help them get adopted.
Along the way, they adopted 3 dogs of their own, their first babies!
Welcome to the pack Abby!

St. Patrick's Day Wedding
Tuesday, March 25, 2008

Luckily Ireland's Bishops officially made March 15th St. Patrick's Day for this cute couples wedding! ( better thing to remember than the Ides of March).
The wedding was at the Red Corral Ranch, a beautiful Hill Country location between Wimberley and Blanco. Not only is the ranch a great place to be married and have your reception all in one place, but it's also a preserve.
The ranch is a model for “PlanIt Texas" a group that works with the legislation and ranchers to help make it easier to preserve the land for endangered species and working ranches at the same time!
They also have lots of peacocks, the white ones were truly amazing, especially with the brides dress!
The ceremony took place at the main house then the wedding party took a hay ride to the reception in the big red barn.
There were wildflowers on the tables and cake, catering by the Salt Lick and dancing with a dj late into the night.
Cheers & Luck of the Irish to Shannon & Russell!
